My name is Loic Marcon. I am a dynamic public health professional with experience in project management, policy advocacy, and strategic partnerships. I have a background spanning tech startups, government, and non-profit sectors. I hold a Master’s in Health Policy, Planning, and Financing from a joint program between the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. I am passionate about advancing systems change and social impact through addressing the social determinants of health via policy, partnerships, and community engagement.

Change Management

Through my work at Unite Us, I drove an adaptable program of change management tailored to client needs. Through engaging presentation, office hours, uniquely tailored communications, and demonstrations, I brought outcomes focused change to over 150 organisations in Seattle and rural Washington.

Workshop Facilitation

At METRO GAVS, I facilitated workshops aimed at co-developing public health materials between the voluntary sector and the NHS. At Unite Us, I facilitated a monthly workshop between Kaiser Permanente of WA, HealthierHere, Unite Us, and 200+ community based organisations to improve cross-sector collaboration.

System Thinking

In all my work, I think critically about the implications of delivering activities on other systems. I think critically about stakeholder incentives, influence, and responsibility. My background in health systems and health policy has synthesised my systems thinking lens with the crucial technical knowledge of how health systems operate. This combination is applicable to any form of social impact work.

Client Management

Formerly working in vaccine outreach, brand ambassadorships, and recruitment, I bring enthusiasm and camaraderie to client relationships. I understand client motives and goals, reading between the lines of client engagement. At Unite Us. I retained over 90% of my community-based organisation relationships through my client management approach.

Profile

Born and raised in San Francisco, my daily observance of homelessness shaped my approach to social justice and social impact. Through my education, I developed a philosophy of social change rooted in systems change. My training in public health, blended with my natural consultative style, allow me to guide organizations to meet their public health program, partnership, and policy strategies.

My long term career aspirations are to be in strong positions of health policy leadership. I strive to bring my core values into driving systemic change for marginalized communities through a health lens.
